We have provided answers to some questions that are asked frequently.

How much will each DIY kit cover?
The small kit will cover 2m² (approximately 20ft²) which is enough for an average sized shower tray and one bathtub. The large kit will cover 5m² (approximately 50ft²).

How easy is this to apply?
The instructions contained in each pack are very simple to follow and you do not require any special tools to complete the job.

What additional tools will I require?
None. In addition to the coating material, the kit contains everything you require to complete the job - cleaning fluid & sponge, roller, tray, gloves, mixing spatula and masking tape.

How long will it take to complete the job?
This obviously depends on your DIY skills, but under normal conditions you should be able to complete a single shower tray or bathtub in less than 1 hour.

Is any pre-treatment required?
Yes. The success of the treatment depends on having a completely clean and dry surface to start with. While the kit contains a cleaning fluid and sponge, we suggest you remove any heavy dirt / grease beforehand using normal household cleaners and use the special cleaner for the final clean. It is essential that the surface is completely dry before applying the coating.

We also recommend that you take steps to ensure that water does not leak onto the treated surface until fully cured. Covering taps or shower heads with a simple plastic bag and tying with wire ties or string is usually adequate.

Apart from bathtubs, on what other surfaces can it be used?
GriP AntiSlip is ideal for most surfaces requiring anti-slip treatment, for example floor tiles, stone, terrazzo, marble, granite, concrete and even metal.

How long does it take to dry?
GriP AntiSlip requires approximately 12 hours to achieve optimum curing.

Can I use this coating on enamel coated baths too?
Yes, GriP AntiSlip is suitable for applying to acrylic, enamel/iron and porcelain

Do I need to take any special precautions when using this coating?
Not really, just use a bit of common sense and follow the instructions provided. GriP AntiSlip does not give off any toxic or harmful fumes, so you can apply safely in closed conditions.

Does GriP AntiSlip contain any dangerous chemicals?
No, the product is completely safe to use and it is totally environmentally friendly.

How long will the coating last?
GriP AntiSlip is guaranteed for 2 years, with sensible cleaning and maintenance, a life expectancy of 5+ years is not unusual.

Does the coating require any special cleaning?
To achieve optimum life, GriP AntiSlip should be cleaned regularly using a normal all-purpose household cleaner and a soft brush. Rinse the surface with water and dry with a lint-free cloth. Avoid using abrasive materials/chemical cleaners at all times as this will damage the surface.
